Peris+Toral Arquitectes guest lecture at FA UL

The lecture presents the approach of PERIS+TORAL ARQUITECTES’ projects in addressing the climate and housing emergencies within a framework of integral sustainability. It emphasizes the interrelation between environmental, economic and social aspects in the development of architectural solutions. Key strategies include “spacing” buildings with thermodynamic spaces that provide bioclimatic comfort, “reducing” the use of materials and resources according to the three Rs rule in order to minimize embodied carbon, and “sharing” spaces to promote social interaction and collaborative economies. To illustrate how these strategies can be viable, sustainable and equitable, they will be presented through the studio’s most recent projects.

On Thursday, 21. 5. 2026, at 6 pm, José Toral (PERIS+TORAL ARQUITECTES) will give a guest lecture entitled Building and Dwelling in the Plečnik Lecture Hall at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana.
Marta Peris and José Toral were lecturers at the 2024 Piran Days of Architecture and members of the jury for the 2024 Piranesi Award, and this year, with their project GREENH@USE 140 Social Housing and 22@ BCN, they were shortlisted for the 40 architectural works for the EUmies Awards 2026.
