Thirteen-year-old pianist Astrid Glavina, a student at the Koper Music School – Piran branch, has been involved with music since early childhood. Despite her youth, she has already won numerous top prizes at competitions at home and abroad – among other things, she is the first prize winner of the national competition for young musicians – TEMSIG, a laureate of international competitions in Brussels and Paris, and has won several awards at competitions in Italy, Croatia, and Serbia. Her distinctly expressive tone and mature interpretations always captivate audiences. In addition to the piano, which is her main instrument, she also plays the violin. Her mentors are Professor Aleksandra Češnjevar Glavina in Piran and Prof. Sijavush Gadjijev, with whom she is perfecting her skills in a class for gifted children at the Glasbena matica music school in Trieste.
