INFORMAL CITY: TEMPORAL-AUTONOMOUS UTOPIAS

Avtomatik Delovišče invites you to join them at the community events of the international summer school "Informal City: Temporal-Autonomous Utopias", which will take place from 1 to 11 September in Koper's Libertas, Kiosk K-67, which Obalne galerije Piran offerd temporary use, and in the BankArt gallery on Kidričeva ulica. The summer school will be attended by 15 students from all over Europe and a number of international lecturers: Marjetica Potrč, dr. Barbara Predan, Alessia Rosati, Eliana Stefa and Christine Serifi.

With the lecturers, we will open topics on how the transformation of the world over the last thirty years has affected changing patterns of behavior, values and beliefs about life, and understanding the city. Examples of temporary use of empty spaces in Koper will be used as examples of new urbanity. The results of the summer school survey will be available to the public and the Municipality of Koper, the latter can be the basis for the creation of a municipal spatial plan (OPN).

Based on a well-thought-out and in-depth realized process, a new vocabulary for residents, spatial users and policy makers will be defined with the aim of creating a common language for spatial development. We pay special attention to water recuperation, the promotion of organic food production methods and the creation of a connected community. Together with partners and lecturers, we want to provide students with an insight into alternative sources and bring them closer to alternative ways of thinking and perceiving the world. Therefore, as part of the summer school, we prepared thematic days and several practical workshops with experts from each field that we will discuss.
